Over the course of a more than 25-year career in strategy and innovation, Marc has advised corporate clients – ranging from Fortune 100 companies, to startups with nine-figure exits – to US and international public sector entities, including The White House. He also founded, and authored, the Strategic Marketing column at Forbes for twelve years.
Marc joined the editorial staff of Forbes Magazine straight out of graduate school. After two years as a journalist, he changed careers and became a strategist. In less than three years, he rose from entry-level strategist at boutique agencies Deutsch, Inc. and Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners to Senior Vice President/Strategic Planning Director at global marketing firms D'Arcy and J. Walter Thompson.
In 2001, Marc launched Reason Inc. and has guided strategy for global leaders across a broad spectrum of industries, from financial services to healthcare, from entertainment to technology, to professional services. Marc is a sought-after commentator on marketing strategy and branding. He has been featured in media such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, CNBC, CNN, ABC News, The Atlantic, Adweek, Automotive News and American Banker.
Marc holds an A.B. degree in History and Judaic Studies from Brown University and an M.S. from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He is versed in Czech, English, French, German, Italian and Latin. Marc is also a renowned visual artist. His works have been exhibited in solo exhibitions at leading museums around the world and are held by institutional and private collections.
