Marc is the President and Founding Partner of Reason inc. Over the course of a more than 25-year career in competitive and marketing strategy, he has advised corporate clients – ranging from Fortune 100 companies, to startups with nine-figure exits – as well as US and international public sector entities, including The White House.

Marc joined the editorial staff of Forbes Magazine straight out of graduate school. After two years as a business reporter, he changed careers and became a strategist. In less than three years, he rose from entry-level strategist at boutique agencies Deutsch, Inc. and Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners to Senior Vice President at global marketing firms D'Arcy and J. Walter Thompson.

In 2001, Marc launched Reason Inc. In addition to client advisory work, he developed the Reason Doctrine, the firm’s approach to strategy development, as well as the proprietary strategy tools such as competitive strategy mapping. He founded, and for 12 years authored, the Strategic Marketing column at Forbes and has been featured in media such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNBC, CNN, ABC News, The Atlantic, The Guardian, The Telegraph, Adweek, Brandweek, Automotive News and American Banker.

Marc holds an A.B. degree in History and Judaic Studies from Brown University and an M.S. from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He is versed in Czech, English, French, German, Italian and Latin. He is also a visual artist, whose works have been exhibited in solo exhibitions at museums and institutional collections worldwide.
