Thought Leadership and Editorial

For more than 25 years, Brendan has been writing, editing and producing in professional communications roles. In the early 1990s, he spent seven years at CNN, working in financial news, across television and Internet properties. As part of the team that launched CNN.com, he helped create a global leading news property.

From there, as demand grew for streaming media experience, Brendan shifted to Lehman Brothers, where he led webcast production, worked with research analysts around the world, and took responsibility for internal communications on Lehman’s unified Web portal. After five years at Lehman, his portfolio shifted more heavily into financial writing and editing, with PIMCO in its New York Office.

From 2006 to 2014, Brendan was a staff editor in McKinsey & Company’s Global Editorial Services group, responsible for thought leadership products ranging from two-page quick reads, to 140-page compendiums, to dozens of white papers. His work covered a wide range of sectors, including semiconductors, financial services, retail, payments, apparel and the public sector.

In 2014, he shifted to a consulting editor role with McKinsey’s Client Communications team, with responsibility for deliverables such as board presentations, promotional content for the Viva Tech technology conference in France and annotated architectural documents for a new Terminal 1 at JFK Airport, and more.

Brendan holds a B.A. in Political Science from Northwestern University, and an M.S. from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
