With over 25 years of experience in management consulting, sales and operations, Alfredo thrives on helping clients from large banking institutions and retail chains to local governments, micro businesses and consumers achieve sustainable growth.
Alfredo started his career as a Research Analyst at Glaxo, supporting clinical trials, pharmaceutical development and over the counter drug commercialization. After business school, Alfredo joined Citigroup’s credit card business as a management associate and rose to VP through different roles including running +20MM marketing acquisitions, helping design the integration of Diners N.A. and relaunching a portfolio to the new to credit segment.
Using his financial services expertise, he advised client banks throughout Europe for Visa Consulting & Analytics, eventually leading the Southern Europe business and finally becoming head of VAS Cross-selling and the Talent Practice for Europe.
As an entrepreneur, Alfredo co-founded a microlending start-up in northern Mexico, which grew from 5 to 30 branches in 3 years, in which he focused on branch customer experience, technology and analytics.
Alfredo holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Rochester Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Analytical Chemistry from Lehigh University, an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and a MA in Financial Innovation from IEB. He is a bilingual English- and Spanish-speaker.
